As a recruitment agency, we are always having conversations about the elements that influence a candidate's decision when they are weighing a job offer against other opportunities.
These conversations tend to revolve around pay, flexible working, and a positive working environment. While we would all love to walk into a new role with all three, last week we decided to use LinkedIn to survey the public's opinion on which factor they find to be the most important.
The importance of pay was rated as the most essential factor by 40% of all applicants. They came to the conclusion that the amount of money they would be paid would be the deciding factor in whether or not they would accept the work role that had been offered to them.
Working from home or with flexible hours was the next alternative, which received support from 32% of our followers. The remaining 28% of voters opted for a positive working environment.
